I just came back from a cycling holiday in southern Spain with “cycle Sierra Nevada” and I am happy to report that this is an amazing cycling destination. The area has superb and predictable weather during winter. Great road surface, very little vehicle traffic and respectful drivers. Enjoy very scenic roads through the mountains and along the coast. Breathtaking views and smile-inducing descents are on the itinerary each day as your experienced and knowledgeable guide brings you through thoughtfully curated routes. I can’t decide if my favorite day was climbing alongside thousands of almond trees in bloom or descending through a national park down to the beach. Taking a holiday with cycle sierra nevada was a very easy decision. Housing is included, airport pickup/dropoff available, and very reasonably priced bike rental. I never write reviews but the word needs to get out to US cyclists that Southern Spain has a lot to offer.

Last year I brought my own bike to Andalucia, but this year I decided to rent a bike at Cycle Sierra Nevada. It is obvious these guys are the experts over there. They recommended the right bike size and the Rose XL rented was well equipped and maintained. Picking up and dropping off the bike was easy to arrange. But you can also have them bring the bike to you. Had some good fun on that bike, not too heavy and very stiff which gave a lot of confidence in the fast descents. So all in all highly recommended. Why the hassle of bringing your own bike when you can rent a really nice bike from Cycle Sierra Nevada!

This was my first guided cycling holiday and I feel lucky to have chosen Cycle Sierra Nevada. It was a great experience from start to finish - well maintained hire bikes (carbon frame & disc brakes being another first for me), super rides (The Goat's Path Climb being a particular highlight) led by really helpful & knowledgeable guides (who else would find a cafe selling 2 cakes for one euro!) in a lovely part of Spain. I was also impressed with the courtesy shown to cyclists by the local traffic, not that we encountered a lot of that on the many quiet mountain roads that we were guided along. My only regret is that the week ended too soon! I very much hope to be back in the future and if you are a keen cyclist with a love of hills then I would highly recommend riding with Cycle Sierra Nevada (whether bringing your own bike or hiring one from them).

Had a great time in Spain last January. Cormac responded quickly when I had any questions before our journey and prepared everything perfectly for our arrival (even got us some breakfast because we arrived late). The bikes were in great condition, the appartments were big and comfortable and our guide showed us some nice routes (thanks Daan). I hope to come back soon because the weather sucks right here at the moment.
